🔐 Security Screening & Background Verification
Your employment with MDelite Security is subject to successful completion of a security screening process in accordance with British Standard 7858.
To ensure that every candidate meets the high standards required for a position of trust, we will verify your history covering the last five years, or from the end of your full-time education if that period is shorter.
📝 Application Guidance
Please complete your application form with accurate and detailed information. We will check your education and employment history month-by-month for the entire screening period.
This includes:
Start and end dates of each job (month and year)
Your job title and line manager’s name at the time of leaving
Full company name, address, and contact number
If you worked through an employment agency, only provide the agency’s name, address, and phone number.
⛔ Gaps in Employment or Unemployment
If you had any periods of unemployment:
And were not registered with a Job Centre or employment office, you must nominate a character referee.
This referee must not be a relative, must not live at your address, and must be able to verify your status during the gap.
Please ensure your referee is aware, as we will contact them directly.
🎓 Education Verification
For each institution you attended, provide:
Full name, address, and phone number
Start and end dates (month and year)
Qualifications earned
👤 Character Referee Requirements
You must nominate one character referee who has known you personally for at least two years prior to this screening process.
This person must not be:
A relative by blood or marriage
Someone living at the same address
A former employer
They may be a colleague, mentor, or personal acquaintance.
Please provide:
Full name, address, and postcode
Contact number
Length of time you’ve known this person
By submitting your application, you agree to allow us to contact your current employer during the screening process. If permission is not granted and the screening cannot be completed, your conditional job offer may be withdrawn.
💼 Financial History Check & Conditional Employment Period
All applicants are required to undergo a financial background check as part of the screening and vetting process, in compliance with British Standard 7858.
⏳ Conditional Employment Terms
Once initial references confirming your activity over the past five years have been successfully obtained, you may be offered a position on a conditional basis.
During this period, the remaining references will continue to be verified. The conditional employment period will not exceed 12 weeks.
Please note:
If you do not meet MDelite Security’s screening and compliance standards, your conditional employment will be terminated.
🚨 Criminal Offences Declaration
As part of our security screening process, you are required to disclose any previous criminal proceedings or convictions. Please provide full and accurate details where applicable.
Please note:
MDelite Security fully complies with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, which means spent convictions will not be taken into account during the screening process.
